Half Marathon Training...

I am back to my strict running schedule again, and it feels great! Last year at this time, I never would have thought that I would be getting ready to complete my third half marathon...now I am contemplating a full...did I just say that?!

My goal this time is to break 2 hours...I just KNOW I can do this...just have to shave 1 minute off of my last time...this means strict training! Instead of Body Pump, Spin, and Kickboxing, I am all run, all the time...to be honest , I can't get enough...it's me time to the highest power, and no matter how hard it gets, how tired I am...the feeling you get after a long run is like no other. This week I do 23 miles total...7 miles being my long run on Saturday...

I've been using MapMYRun to track my route mileage. They now have an app for my Blackberry called iMapMyRun...it works with my GPS to give me my exact distance at all times...it is free and works with the website, so I can save all of my routes. I LOVE this app. :)

The other cool thing about this training is that Keeley has joined me on my weekend run...I start my run with her, get a mile in together, drop her off at the house, and finish on my own. She is going to do the Kids Run the same day as my half...a little runner in the making, and it is a good way to spend some quality one on one time...

So needless to say, I am excited! I *think*hope* my cousin Brent might run as well...it will be a family affair! Now if I could just get John out there with me...
